Mochara is booked to go to his new home on 30 May 2020!

He's right for you if...

You need to be an experienced husky owner and want to dedicate yourself to a unique character! We are looking for the right person to take home.

Mochara does get along with children, but we think he will do better if he has all the attention to himself.

Update on 29 April 2020

Mochara only ever lived with his owner and totally went into panic mode once he left him off at the centre so suddenly. No owner, a stranger takes him to a kennel with other dogs, he’s scared, he’s not a clue as to what has just happened and he starts to guard himself or protect himself until he learns we aren’t his enemies, we are here to be his friend.

But he still has his moments which is why he needs an experienced owner. Get to know him and walk with him you will soon learn he’s also not your enemy so please message the rehoming team and get yourself an application form.

We have a behaviourist on board and we will do our best to get them a 5* home.

Update on 18 March 2020

This guy needs a home badly!

Why has no one shown any interest?

Yes he’s had his moments but he’s a good dog who was dumped into the rescue and months later he is still here!

He’s 3 years old, he’s brilliant out walking as he’s very chilled and noting distracts him not even other dogs. He’s a loveable dog and when giving him cuddles etc he talks to you although some may think it’s a growl it’s not he’s happy and wanting more and if you don’t he will paw you 😂

He does require an experienced person and this is because of how he was and he has an unpredictability about him, don’t get me wrong he’s not aggressive but he’ll let you know if he doesn’t want stroked etc and someone with experience who shows no fear no nervousness and will no how to handle him.

He would suit a family with older children and could live with another female if all went well with them, he could also live quite happily as an only dog!

Look at him he’s stunning, send us a message and come see him, give him the chance he deserves!

Update on 7 March 2020

Mochara has been with us far too long and needs out.

When Mochara came to the Rescue, he lost his owner, his family and his home at the tender age of almost 3 - this left him sad, confused and terrified. He became a little aggressive but with lots of work over the past few months, he has transformed into an amazing boy.

Mochara came from a family so could be rehomed with a family who have husky experience and dog savvy children from 8 years upwards. Mochara is a lovely dog but can be aloof so the owner would have to learn to be able to read his personality and body language.

Mochara is a stunning boy, he is unique, he takes his time getting to know people and once he trusts you, he's very friendly, loves belly rubs and being brushed out. Some days Mochara loves to get out for a walk and will walk all day and other days, he wants to turn around after 5 mins but he is good on the lead and if he were to get into a routine he'd be fine.

Please come meet this boy, give him a chance to show you he's ready to trust again, ready to love again and ready to move into a new loving home.

Update on 12 February 2020

Another heart breaker who has been here too long.

Was with his previous owner almost 3 years and sadly ended up here absolutely heartbroken. We have never saw a dog change so much after being left with us, he turned into the most terrified but aggressive dog we had come across but what a change in him now, it’s amazing.

He’s not so good with other dogs but that’s ok a lot of dogs aren’t, he’s good with children and even I say children it’s 8 and up and used to dogs. He loves company of people and would be a very loyal owner.

Sadly for Mochara he has that look that would make you a bit nervous of him but it’s the opposite, he loves his rubs and being brushed, he was bouncing about on the trampoline and thankfully he is coming out of his shell more and more.
Looking out the kitchen window and seeing him just breaks my heart, I’d love to invite him in for a cuppa but not sure the 9 digs in here would be pleased 😂.

Please people you need to come and meet him, he’s stunning, he’s unique, he’s weird, he’s himself and he’s come a long way so give him a chance. I think he’s had possibly 2-3 enquiries and that’s it, you need to meet him and if he likes yuh and trusts you you’ll have a friend for life.

Update on 30 January 2020

He has the looks and boy does he look good!!He will need someone who has a lot of time and experience with unique dogs with attitude.

He’s come a long way from when he first got here and now he plays, he gets groomed and he loves it, he loves his walks and he loves a bit a of rough play and again you need the experience to be able to read him, he talks to you but it’s like a growl and he’ll either take to you or he won’t!

He does get on with children but we would prefer a home with no children as an only dog so unless you have experience then we may think about the children and the other dog!

We aren’t going to lie he can be unpredictable which is why experience is a must and all our requirements are the same.

Update on 21 December 2019

Not only has he got the looks but he’s got that something special about him and needs an experienced owner! This is due to his unpredictability and cool attitude.

He’s a lovely dog, he loves his cuddles and rubs, he’s a lazy husky so don’t expect him to pull you on the scooter cos it ain’t happening he’d rather be sitting chilling with his pipe

Mochara was very very attached to his owner so when he came to us he struggled big time and was fearful aggressive but he’s a completely different dog now although he is still a little bit unpredictable which is why we need him to go an experienced owner.

He is great with my nephew but he’s very dog savvy so I’m not sure if a home with children or dogs would suit, I think he would prefer all the attention to himself.

Please do not be put off by this because he is a lovely dog and he breaks my heart, if he finds the right home he’ll be an amazing companion.

Update on 11 November 2019

Well well well.... it’s the one and only Mochara, his name means ‘my friend’ and he is looking for his forever friend.

He is 3 years old and been with us a few months. It hasn’t been an easy few months. At the beginning he was so fearful and unpredictable that we didn’t know what the outcome would be but he has proved us wrong and done a U Turn.

He will not give anything away no expression no nothing apart from telling you when he wants a belly rub and a new hair cut 😂 which I can’t tell if he is peeved or proud to have been plucked 🙈

He loved my nephew and was absolutely super with him, Oliver is coming 9 and loves dogs and he felt so sorry for Mochara but also cared deeply for him.

He really is a limited edition and needs a special owner to spend nights on sofa with in front of the fire. The owner needs to be an experienced person with no other dogs and no young children and I doubt a cat would be ideal either.

Other than being a bit growly and knowing how to read him he is a lovable dog and he deserves a home. He’s great on the lead although don’t expect a runner as he will not go past second gear 😂 he’s a chilled dog and all he needs is a pipe and rocking chair, so if you can provide these and want to give Mochara a chance send us a message.
